Michael Fenzl is the grandson of Robert Semerad, who was once a soloist in the Vienna Boys Choir. Michael was born in Austria but at a young age his family relocated to Frobisher Bay in Canada where his father worked as a mechanic for Nordair. He spent the next five years with Eskimos, polar bears and caribou, a peaceful surrounding for a creative child.
In 1977, his family moved to Bradenton, Florida where he made his first guitar out of a piece of wood, some fishing line, and nails. After seeing this, his dad bought him a Royce electric guitar at the flea market for fifteen dollars.
When he was 15, Michael worked at a Tobacco Farm in Connecticut for the summer. Upon returning home with his hard earned cash, he purchased a red Charvel electric guitar and an old yellow Volkswagen. He had just enough money left over to mail order lessons from "Doug Marks Metal Method".
Michael went on to study classical guitar and music theory with Rex Willis and Stephen Robinson.
He is now focusing on the engineering, producing, and recording of his own music. His newest CD, "Meant to be", is five years in the making and a treat to those who appreciate solo guitar.
